RBC Canadian Open: 2nd Round Recap

If you didn’t go low your not at the top!

LEADERS

Scott Brown          2nd Round: 63 (-7)          Total: -12

Matt Kuchar         2nd Round: 63 (-7)           Total: -12

With five straight birdies and an eagle, Scott Brown was able to move up to a T1 with an impressive 63 (-7). Also at T1, Matt Kuchar shot a 63 (-7) and is now sitting at -12 after 36 holes. Kuchar seems to have some momentum going into the third round after finishing birdie, birdie, birdie. Will the man who is sitting #1 in the FedEx Cup points be able to stay in contention?

Brandt Snedeker is the story for the day. Brandt was chasing history again today while coming just one shot from shooting another 59. His round of 60 (-10), puts him a T3 (-11), just one shot behind the leaders. Just one shot off Brandts pace yesterday, Ben Silverman shot a 61 (-9), and his round included a bogey. Those who missed the cut at -2: Canadian – Mike Weir, Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia, Bill Haas, and Padraig Harrington.

T1 Scott Brown           2nd Round: 63 (-7)    Total: -12

T1 Matt Kuchar          2nd Round: 63 (-7)    Total: -12

T3 Brandt Snedeker  2nd Round: 60 (-10)   Total: -11

T3 Nick Taylor            2nd Round: 65 (-5)     Total: -11

5 Webb Simpson       2nd Round: 64 (-6)     Total: -10

Nick Taylor is the low Canadian at the moment and so far he has shot 66 and 64. If a Canadian wins this thing, my money is on Nick. The guys in front should keep an eye on both Rory and Justin who are primed to make a run on moving day.
