Mash’Em Monday: Muddy Pro Am

Well I had to wait a little longer to make this post.

Phil Mickelson won for the 5th time in his career at Pebble Beach earlier this morning. That really was not the story at this years AT&T Pro-Am, nope, it was the rain. Mud ball was the name of the game at Pebble this week and never really let up.

The long ball does not play well in the mud. Phil Mickelson won with his grit and accuracy this time around and not the long game. He was 80% in greens in regulation while he only had an average of 275yds off the tee. Yet this morning on Monday he finished off his weekend at -19 and 3 strokes clear of Paul Casey at -16.

The long ball champion for the weekend goes to: Cameron Champ at 302.9 yds. He finished with a -6, which was good enough for T28th.

Hope that all have a great week!
