Mash’Em Monday: WITB World Long Drive Champion – Maurice Allen, Bubba Bombed through TPC Scottsdale

While many were looking forward to the Super Bowl yesterday, the event of the day really goes to the craziest golf tournament of the year: The Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Ricky Fowler ended up winning an event he had previously held the 54 hole lead before. Yet he did not finish yesterday off without any fireworks. Yet again the rules of golf are being questioned by many. In one hole Ricky went from being ahead by 5 shots to only 1. In the end Ricky won by two and it was fun to watch.

Bubba Watson was the long drive king for the weekend. And he finished T4 for the event at -12.

Avg. Drive: 318.7                                  Avg. Drive 326

Maurice Allen won the Volvik World Long Drive Championship with a winning drive of 393 yards. So what is in the bag of the Champion?

According to his profile on
